Think of a confidence as a noise cancelling microphone.  It rejects background noise such as chatter is the aisles and over head speakers.  Putting a confidencer in a phone is an an alternative to push to talk handsets.  The Confidencer with replaces the standard T1 transmitter in a G type Handset.  We have a limtied supply New Old Stock (NOS) and used parts.
